Spring will soon be here and so will the Fargo Marathon!

In partnership with local emergency responders, RRRA will once again be providing the communications backbone for the Marathon aid stations.

RRRA communications support for the Fargo Marathon will be coordinated through the Marathon Mailing List. All operators who wish to volunteer for this event must subscribe to the Marathon Mailing List; even those who who sign up on paper at any club meeting.

Ten amateur radio operators (hams) are needed to provide communications support for Walk MS: Fargo 2019 on April 27th, 2019 at Courts Plus Community Fitness, Fargo.

Radio operators interested in volunteering for this event should attend the March business meeting or contact for more information.

First Responders, Amateur Radio Operators, and members of the public interested in becoming SKYWARN® weather spotters; and current spotters who wish to refresh their skills; are encouraged to save the date for one of the three training opportunities to be offered in the Fargo/Moorhead area during 2019.

• Fargo - Tuesday, April 9
• Sabin - Monday, April 22
• West Fargo - Wednesday, May 8

Radio Operators are needed to provide public service communication support for the 2018 Jungle Bell Run on Saturday, December 1st.

Operators will be stationed along the course and should meet at the Courts Plus fireplace at 8:15 AM to obtain their assignments. The race starts at 9:00 AM.

The Jingle Bell Run is an excellent opportunity for new Amateur Radio Operators to familiarize themselves with event support net operations in a relaxed setting.
