Dayton Hamvention 2021 has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. On January 11, 2021, the Dayton Hamvention 2021 Executive Committee announced:

Unfortunately, several setbacks in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic make necessary the difficult decision to cancel Hamvention 2021. …

Those who had their tickets, inside booths or flea market spaces deferred last year will be deferred again. Those who purchased 2021 tickets, inside booths or flea market spaces will also be deferred. If you desire a refund instead please email tickets@hamvention.org and we will contact you. ¹

The January RRRA Business Meeting will be conducted through the Zoom teleconferencing service. Connection information for the RRRA Virtual Club Meeting may be found in the President’s January Zoom meeting invitation.

Club Members are reminded that annual membership renewals are due at the January Business Meeting. Available dues payment options may be found through the Join the Red River Radio Amateurs page.

Purchase your early-bird tickets for the QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo 2021 live on-line March 13^th and 14^th—and on-demand until April 12^th—2021.

According to QSO Today Podcast host Eric Guth, 4Z1UG/WA6IGR, “the inaugural QSO Today Expo last August attracted more than 16,000 attendees, and … the March 2021 event will be even more successful.” ¹

The event organizers have been “working hard to make [their] upcoming Expo even better with new speakers, panel discussions, kit building workshops, easy-to-use video technology to meet with exhibitors, and much more.” ² All without the risk and expense of travel.

On December 23, 2020, The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted a reduced Amateur Radio application fee of $35. This new fee is part of the application fee schedule published in Report and Order FCC 20-184 (R&O).
